The Annual Summit-University Planning Council (SUPC) Board of Directors Election is approaching, and we invite YOU to consider joining our board!
The SUPC Board is a nonprofit organization, and as members, we share several important responsibilities typical of nonprofit boards, including:
- Filing annual taxes and maintaining detailed records
- Complying with state laws that govern nonprofits
- Recording meeting minutes
- Setting organizational goals as a team
In addition to these responsibilities, board members have unique duties related to our district council, such as:
- Volunteering at community events
- Organizing and facilitating a monthly community meeting night
- Engaging with neighbors to discuss community issues
- Learning about various neighborhood issues
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join the board! Whether you are outspoken or soft-spoken, a planner or a visionary, an organizer or an artist, a student or a parent, or an elder, we value your perspective and talents.
