Dale and University has experienced an increase in crime, drug use, and the needs of houseless individuals in the years since the Greenline has opened. A community meeting was recently held to address neighborhood concerns in the area, and to find solutions.

Rethinking I-94 is a long-term project that plans to engage with community members to reimagine what Highway I-94 between Rondo in St. Paul and Cedar-Riverside in Minneapolis (7.5 miles). This project is a collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

889 Iglehart is a sober living facility. The owner, Drew Horowitz, also owns 890 Iglehart, which is across the street. He has an application in with the city to transition from a sober living facility to a Supervised Housing Facility. This triggers a repeat variance due to the proximity to the other facility. This change in license designation is likely due to an upcoming moratorium on Supervised Housing Facility applications in July, which has triggered several applications to go in to the city, giving the impression that many new facilities are opening, while they are just changing their designation.

325 Dayton Ave is a historic mansion, and currently a multi use space. They currently use it for: Daycare center/ Montessori school The New Victorian Mansion Bed and Breakfast Short term rental/ Air BNB Event hall for small weddings and similar They are seeking a conditional use permit for the reuse of the building for the event space.

Rondo CLT is working on a mixed-use development project at 642 Selby Avenue, the former dry cleaner building. The project will include 20 permanently affordable, for sale condo units, and roughly 3,200 sq ft of affordable commercial space. This project will require: Rezone from B2 to T3, and NEW in 2025 CUP to build 3.5 ft higher

This issue was resolved in January of 2025

Concordia/ Rondo Ave is scheduled to be repaved in late 2024. Due to existing neighborhood concerns about the speed of traffic on this road that runs parallel to the freeway, the City of Saint Paul is working with the community to come up with safety measures to mitigate speeding.
