Rondo Community Library to Reopen on December 31
Rondo Community Library’s temporary location at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center will close on November 23, 2026, to prepare for the library's return to its permanent location at Dale Street and University Avenue. The newly renovated Rondo Community Library at 461 N Dale Street will open to the public on December 31, 2026. Library staff look forward to welcoming you into the improved, dynamic space that was informed by community input. While Rondo Community Library remains temporarily closed as staff prepare for its opening, library users can visit nearby library locations including Hamline Midway Library and Rice Street Library. Residents are also welcome to visit Mobile Library stops in the area that include Liberty Plaza, Wilder Square, Front Hi Rise, and Skyline Tower. Love First: Creating Safety for Ourselves and Others
Join Love First for their next Independent Living Skills Workshop: Thursday, Sept 24, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. This month they're focusing on how to remain safe while achieving stability. This workshop will include trainings that cover self-defense and de-escalation, how to administer Naloxone, and basic gun safety $50 stipends available to the first 20 youth to register!

Small in size but mighty in impact on the community.

Selby Avenue Mixed-Use Zoning COMMUNITY WORKSHOP
If you live, work, commute, or own a business along Selby Avenue, or want to help guide future development in the area, join us for a workshop on Wednesday, September 23, at 6:00 p.m. to discuss what comes next. Future development along Selby Avenue is guided by zoning, the City’s rulebook for what can be built where. The City of Saint Paul wants your input about how we can use zoning to help the corridor grow in a way that supports community goals and investment in public transit. The workshop will focus on the B Line’s route on Selby Avenue from Hamline Avenue to John Ireland Boulevard.
